Dear Friends,

Hope you're all doing well. Summer is about to start here in New England and it is most pleasant, indeed.

I continue to work part-time at the Museum of Science as the Coordinator of AV Productions. It takes a lot of time and energy (more than a part-time gig) but things are shaping up. In the past year we've increased our level of standard production quality and have recorded for the web and the Museum's library every lecture and special event. Some of this can be viewed on WGBH's Forum website. They've been having bandwidth problems for the past couple of months, so I've held off sending anything from this past season. Hopefully they'll fix things and/or the Museum will start posting the lectures on their own website.

I've been preparing to record some music with my old friend Mike Huard. Mike's been in touch with his brother Mark, a drummer from Los Angeles, and sometime during the summer Mark will join us in Boston and we'll record basic tracks at a local studio. Then, of course, we'll finish things up at NESP. I'll post something on the Words and Music page when it becomes available.

I recently discovered a DAT of sound effects that I recorded four years ago and forgot about. To make a long story short, I've just finished adding over four hundred new sound effects and textures to the NESP library. All of these recent FX are candidates for the Big Project that I've been working on for the past few years. I'm considering creating a download site to sell these FX but really like the idea of a multi-disc product. What I like about it is the purchaser would not only get the obvious sounds that they're looking for but all sorts of variations and related work. All within the same package. Any thoughts?

That's it for now. Enjoy the summer!
